BUENOS AIRES (Reuters) – The Argentine economy grew 7.1 percent in 2008, the government said, in its sixth year of strong expansion despite its sluggishness in its last quarter because of the international crisis.

The official figure was more than the Central Bank’s estimate of 6.0 percent growth for last year.
